Grady Research, Inc. is dedicated to the design, manufacture, sale and service of interventional imaging systems and components. Current activities build on over thirty years of experience in this field. The principal owner of Grady Research, Mr. John K. Grady, PE, also founded, owned and operated XRE Corporation. XRE designed and built cardiac catheterization imaging equipment for most of the major suppliers on a private-label basis, and for its direct sales division, Angiographic Devices (ADC). In addition to the mechanical devices for which it became famous, XRE produced cardiology information networks used in the management of cardiac images, hemodynamics, clinical procedure notes, patient demographic data and inventory levels. XRE was also responsible for a variety of special procedures tables, including a 90/90 ER/trauma tilting unit. XRE Corp. was acquired by TREX Medical, a subsidiary of Thermo Electron Corp. in 1996. Mr. Grady left the company in 1999 to pursue other interests. He recently founded Grady Research so that he could pursue the design of a new, highly dedicated, cardiac cath lab. Grady Research has already received a number of patents and federal grants for its work in the field of rotational angiography and single plane interventional cardiology. Additional patents are pending on several new concepts, including a mobile C-arm system for ER, OR and cardiac cath applications.
